Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey Reveal Newborn Twins’ Names

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/923NOW) — Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey happily revealed the names of their brand new twin boy and girl Wednesday morning.

Moroccan Scott Cannon for the little gentleman and Monroe Cannon for the little princess.

“Moroccan” comes from the name of the top-tier of their apartment in Tribeca, NYC where Nick proposed to Mariah. It’s called the “Moroccan Room” Scott is Nick’s middle name and it’s also his grandmother’s maiden name.

As for the little girl, Monroe comes from Mariah’s love for Marilyn Monroe… naturally.

Carey and Cannon’s twins were delivered Saturday in Los Angeles on the couple’s third anniversary.
