WHITE PLAINS, NY (WCBS 880) – Westchester has come a long way from businesses fighting to move there, but if one business group has its way, that will all change.

Association president Bill Mooney says their plan is to fill an occupied office space, lobby Albany to make the state more business friendly and raise $3 million to campaign the strengths of Westchester nationwide.

"This county has so much to offer. We have a tendency to talk about the negative, the high taxes," Mooney told WCBS 880's Catherine Cioffi. "We have a tendency to talk about the negative, the high taxes. But think about our diversity that we offer. Think about the quality of life that we offer so it goes on and on with our strengths and we have to start talking about our strengths more than our weaknesses."

The Westchester County Association is working with the county's real estate, business, healthcare and academic communities along with cities and the Westchester County Executive for the new campaign.
