B&C Morning Show: Yankees, A-Rod Stop The Slide
There is just no pleasing some people — and Craig happens to be one of them.
Craigie the Mets fan has been spending a lot of time worrying about the plight of the New York Yankees (and it’s not even Labor Day), so one would think with last night’s 6-2 win over the Rays — a game that saw his “man-crush” Alex Rodriguez homer twice — Craigie would be a happy camper today, but that was not the case.
You see Craig is growing tired of A-Rod not getting the credit he believes the third baseman deserves. This morning he decided to sing A-Rod’s praises and vent a little at the same time.
Boomer opted to start things off by talking about the apparent ongoing feud between Joe Girardi and his former prodigy Jorge Posada, who started last night and went 2-3. Derek Jeter, on the other-hand, went hitless and according to Craig, “looked like a little leaguer at the plate.”
As for the Mets, they were rained out at Citi Field and now we’re hearing rumblings about their “tarp-guy” failing to put the tarp on the field properly. Craig had all sorts of things to say about the Mets and he wonders if they are trying to get every game rained out until David Wright returns from the 15-day DL…
