Mike  Hoffman, the winner of the semi-annual pickle eating contest at the Carnegie Deli, is nicknamed “The Skinny.”

The Farmingdale resident won top honors in the competitive eating contest, which took place Wednesday morning at the New York City institution.

As for a prize, Hoffman took home a trophy and “the pleasure,” as he put it, of eating 20 pickles.

“In five minutes I got them down,” Hoffman told 1010 WINS. “It was a very delicious five minutes, I can tell you that.”

Afterwards, he said he was going to eat a Carnegie Deli pastrami sandwich. And while he’s not sure what he’ll have for dinner Wednesday night, his wife said she’s looking forward to not having to cook.

Go make a donation, yambo.

And I would make a donation myself, but I’m just not sure the poor people of the NYC are going to spend the money on pickles…

wWHILE ALL THE POOR PEOPLE IN NYC STILL CANNOT GET A HOT MEAL! WE ARE HAVING CONTESTS TO SEE WHO CAN EAT THE MOST!

THIS SOCIETY WE LIVE IN IS SUCH A HYPCRITICAL ONE!
ON ONE HAND WE FEEL SORRY FOR THE POOR AND THE LESS FORTUNATE, THEN ON THE OTHER HAND WE SUPPORT THESE TYPE OF CONTESTS.
DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE WOULD LIKE TO TASTE A PICKLE TODAY???…HOW ,MANY PEOPLE CRAVE FOR A NATHANS HOT DOG??

HYPOCRITICAL I TELL YA!

Mike, there are multiple (major) organizations in NYC that feed the hungry everyday, if one is hungry, they can get a meal quite easily
