By Kimberly Rae Miller
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Co-Op, the new restaurant in the Hotel on Rivington, is opening Wednesday night with a guest list expected to include some fashionable elite.
According to the New York Post,"Big Love" and indie-film starlett Chloe Sevigny will be headlining the crowd and supporting her brother Paul Sevigny, the event's DJ.
Fashion designer Betsey Johnson will be there, as will 'Sex and the City' stylist Patricia Field.
Self-described as a modern American brasserie and sushi bar, Co-Op is replacing the hotel's recently-closed Thor venue.
It's the ambiance that stands out. The restaurant features high-ceilings, and a vintage Hollywood look, with two substantial photography installations and a 30-foot long communal dining table constructed from one piece of Walnut wood.
