Suspect Arrested In Paterson For Attempted Murder After Police Shootout

PATERSON, NJ (CBS 2 ) — A New Jersey man faces two counts of attempted murder after a shootout with police.

Prosecutors say Ah-mad Mims fired at a police car in Paterson early Saturday morning.

Investigators say officers fired back and then ran after Mims until he dropped the gun and was arrested.

Mims was already wanted on a drug offense when he was caught.
