Suffolk County Police Make Arrests After Bars Allegedly Serve Alcohol To Minors

HUNTINGTON, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Police arrested four people and shut down a Long Island bar for allegedly serving alcohol to minors.

Suffolk County police said the arrests occurred at Strawberry's in Huntington and Rancho Guanaco in Commack.

Two employees of Strawberry's were charged on Saturday with unlawfully selling alcohol to a minor. Authorities also closed the business after finding fire code violations.

The owner of Rancho Guanaco was charged with endangering the welfare of a child. He was also slapped with summonses for violating the state Alcohol Beverage Control Act. An underage employee at the bar was charged with unlawfully selling alcohol to a minor.

It was not immediately clear if any of the defendants had lawyers.
