B&C Morning Show: David Cone In The Allstate Studio For An Intervention

Craig has recently voiced his concern over his pal David Cone's dwindling frame, so he told Al "Hughes" Dukes to book the 16th player to pitch a perfect game to join Boomer and him in-studio so they could talk to him about it.  Cone is a big fan of the "Morning Extravaganza" so he was more than happy to pay the guys a visit and he even came bearing gifts in the form of Dunkin' Donuts.

Right off the bat the guys asked Cone about the Mets' problems, which seem to be getting worse as the days go on, and his own experience pitching for the Mets in the late 80's and everything that came with it, like rolling into a hotel bar 18-deep.

Craig asked him about missing the start back in 1996 for the Yankees that turned into a no-hitter for Dwight Gooden.  Speaking of Gooden, the guys asked Cone about a story Doc told them yesterday regarding Lenny Dykstra attempting to bust him out of "Celebrity Rehab". It didn't seem to surprise Cone all that much.

The subject of Micheal Kay's wedding was touched upon as well as the Yankees and Jorge Posada's nosedive.

As the interview was winding down, Boomer, Craig & Cone all enjoyed a donut together and called it a day...
