The agency says the recalled covers could pose a possible entrapment hazard to swimmers and bathers. They were manufactured between December 2008 and April 2011.

No injuries have been reported with these products.

The manufacturers are Arizona-based A&A Manufacturing and Color Match Pool Fittings, California-based AquaStar Pool Products Inc. and Waterway Plastic, Georgia-based Custom Molded Products, New Jersey-based Hayward Pool Products, North Carolina-based Pentair Water Pool and Spa and Tennessee-based Rising Dragon USA.

Consumers who have the recalled drain covers should immediately contact the manufacturer to receive a replacement or retrofit.

Recently, a swimming pool company president charged in a Connecticut boy's drowning pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide, a misdemeanor.

Karen Cohn, mother of the late 6-year-old Zachary Cohn, and her husband are urging anyone with a pool to look into this drain cover recall.

"We don't have another family to have to endure the loss of a child due to an entrapment," Cohn told WCBS 880 Connecticut Bureau Chief Fran Schneidau.
