NYPD: Group Of Teens Mug Man In Central Park

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - The New York City Police Department wants your help identifying one of several teens being sought for a brazen daylight mugging in Central Park.

The NYPD says a 39-year-old man was enjoying a stroll along the bridal path near the reservoir at East 95th Street and East Drive last Thursday. He was approached by four African-American men, believed to be in their teens.

The group set on the man, hitting him with a metal water bottle. He was knocked to the ground, and the pack started to kick him. Then they rifled his pockets for cash.

The group took off into the park.

The suspect who hurled the man to the ground is described as a black man, 17, approximately 6'1", medium build with short hair and a light mustache.

The others in the group are believed to be 14-17.
