Shawn Green had a very good Major League career spanning 15 years, the last bit as part of the Mets. He retired following the 2007 season and he joined Boomer & Craig in the Allstate Studio this morning to promote his new book, “The Way of Baseball: Finding Stillness at 95mph” and talk about his decorated career.
By the time Green made it to the Mets his best years were behind him and he talked with the guys about that difficult time of decline and what the 2007 Mets team was like in the clubhouse. They also picked his brain about what it was like playing for the Wilpons and got his take on the mess the organization has found itself in.
Craig also asked Green about taking on the role of “Jewish Ambassador” throughout his career – a role that according to Green, he wasn’t all that fit to play…
