NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Spotted: A Gossip Girl star unleashing the Circle Line’s newest thrill ride.

Kelly Rutherford, of Gossip Girl and Melrose Place fame, was on hand in Midtown on Tuesday to christen what the Circle Line is calling “the Beast.”

The latest addition to New York City’s famous Circle Line family, the Beast Manhattan’s only jet powered speed boat attraction, taking passengers on a 30 minute excursion through the Hudson – from Pier 83 at 42nd St to the Statue of Liberty and back.

“I can’t wait until my children are old enough so that we can share this New York experience,” Rutherford said as she waved and greeted fans at the Harbor.

For the duration of the summer, the Circle Line attraction will go out daily, every hour between 12 p.m. and 7 p.m.
