NEW YORK (WCBS 880) - Today is National Iced Tea Day. You probably didn’t even know there was such a thing!

Well, there is and Snapple is celebrating by giving out free samples – along with free lunch – at some of the top New York City food trucks.

The flavors will be diet peach and raspberry.

“Snapple has really grown as a company. It seems a lot of people are drinking iced tea these days,” said WCBS 880′s Pat Farnack.

“Yeah, well, we actually got our start in New York about 40 years ago,” sais Snapple spokesperson Christine Danuser. “This is kind of our way to celebrate and kind of come back to the place where we were born and reward our most hardcore fans with some free Snapple and free lunch.”
