NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 27-year-old man is fighting for his life Saturday morning after being beaten by a group of men in the Flat Iron district of Manhattan.

EMS says they brought the  beating victim to Bellevue Hospital. Officials says he was beaten by a group of five to six other men after some kind of dispute. They say the victim is in critical condition.

1010 WINS’ Kathleen Maloney reports: Victim May Have Known His Attackers

Police say the victim may have known his attackers. One witness tells 1010 WINS a group of men poured out of a car and pounced on the victim.

This happened at about 4:30am at the corner of 5th Avenue and 22nd Street. Police have roped off the entire block of 5th Avenue from 22nd to 23rd streets.
