NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- If your dad is in his senior years, Father's Day is the perfect time to see how he's driving.

Dave Melton with Liberty Mutual Insurance offers some advise.
"Father's Day, if you're going to go out on the golf course, have him drive and then if he drives in a way that makes you nervous, where you're hitting that imaginary break, that's when you start to think about having this conversation," said Melton.
He says be honest, ask questions, let your dad know you care and if you meet resistance, follow-up from time to time.
