B&C Morning Show: David Tyree Talks, Ivan Nova Deals
Jerry "Rello" Recco began things with some more comments from David Tyree on the issue of same-sex marriage. The Giants Super Bowl XLII hero mentioned how he would give up his Super Bowl ring to prevent gay marriage if he was certain it would put a stop to it. He also credits God for his miraculous 32-yard Super Bowl catch.
As for the Yankees, they got 8 strong innings courtesy of Ivan Nova and that was just enough to earn the win over the Reds -- Nova's 7th victory of the season. Things got a little dicey late, as Luis Ayala and Boone Logan failed to hold the 4-run lead, which forced Joe Girardi to call upon Mariano Rivera, who nailed down his 18th save of the season.
We heard from John Sterling of course and Russell Martin, who endeared himself to Craig - and Yankee fans alike - for something he did over the weekend.
