'Can't Wait!': Jets' Bart Scott To Sell T-Shirts Benefiting Rutgers' Eric LeGrand

NEW YORK (WFAN) -- Jets linebacker Bart Scott "Can't Wait!" to see paralyzed Rutgers football player Eric LeGrand walk again.

Scott's trademark bellow has taken on a life of its own, and he hopes a new t-shirt line featuring the phrase will help raise some serious money for LeGrand.

"I want to do something for him," Scott told NFL.com.

Scott said all the proceeds from the first run, approximately 1,200 shirts, will go to the "Eric LeGrand Believe Fund."

"I hope we'll sell out the shirts quickly so we can get the money to him because things are expensive with his care," he said, "and I know there are money needs. For instance, he needs to refit the doors at his house for his wheelchair."

After being paralyzed from the neck down at the New Meadowlands last October, the 20-year-old wonder has been a source of inspiration for many.

LeGrand will be taking two classes this summer via Skype from his home in New Egypt. He also plans to catch some sessions in person at Rutgers.

"There's no stopping me," he told CBS 2 earlier this month. "In the end I'm going get it done so I can get my degree."

"I've never met him but I heard he's a great kid," Scott said. "He has a lot of concerns and needs right now, but I know someday he will walk, and that's something I can't wait for."
