Gotham Gossipist: Tracy Morgan, Still As Insulting As Ever?

By Kimberly Rae Miller

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- If you're Tracy Morgan's PR person, it's our guess you're probably looking for new work.

By now you probably know that earlier this month, at a comedy show in Nashville, Tennessee, Morgan made the joke heard round the Internet, declaring that he would stab his own son to death if he came out to him as gay.  What followed was a damage control spree for the record books: Tracy spent time with at-risk queer youth, attended GLAAD meetings, met with members of the LGBT community, spent time with the families of hate-crime victims, and apologized publicly for his insensitive remarks.

There's just one problem: he's still Tracy Morgan and Tracy Morgan says offensive things on a regular basis.  According to The New York Times, at a show last Saturday at the Times Square comedy club Caroline's, Morgan ended his set with a whole new slew of controversial remarks.

This time they weren't about homosexuality. No, that's old news for Morgan.  He decided it was time to bring the mentally and physically handicapped into his act, saying "Don't ever mess with women who have retarded kids…Them young retarded males is strong. They're strong like chimps."

He followed up by telling of a long ended romance he had with "a cripple" with a prosthetic arm, a mechanical larynx and a portable dialysis machine.

I suppose Tracy wasn't exactly known for his gentle and totally PC humor.

What do you think: Offensive or to be expected?
