B&C Morning Show: To Carton’s Dismay, Boomer Wins This Year’s Pulse Of The People Award

After winning the award for 3 straight years, this morning Craig Carton was forced to (reluctantly) congratulate his radio partner Boomer Esiason on being named the “2011 Pulse of the People Award” winner.

Boomer and Craig, along with Rex Ryan, Anthony Weiner and Nick Cannon (who is hilarious) were all nominated for the award – but even with that select company (minus Weiner), Craigie was pretty certain that this morning’s announcement was a mere formality.  But then, shortly after 9 a.m., Tracy Burgess interrupted her always informative traffic report to reveal that Boomer had in fact ended Craigie’s streak and beat him out for the coveted award.

Craig finished 2nd, but that was no consolation as the radio veteran was clearly distraught after not getting the hardware.

With all of that said, on behalf of the entire staff,  I would like congratulate both Boomer & Craig for even being nominated. But a special congrats goes out to the Booms for making us all proud and keeping the prestigious honor in the B&C Family…

What this really means is that Boomer has sucessfully stooped to Carton’s level. Boomer is an enabler, and enables Carton’s immaturity and self-serving insecurities. It’s too bad Boomer never took a stand for quality programming.
