Darrelle Revis Voted 8th In NFL Network's 'Top 100 Players' Poll

NEW YORK (WFAN) - NFL players voted Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis No. 8 on the Top 100 Players list of 2011 in a poll conducted by the NFL Network.

Here are a few highlights from Rex Ryan, who presented Revis on the show Sunday night and admitted that No. 24's presence "allows us to get away with way more stuff than than any other other team can get away with."

"First thing they want to know – every receiver—who's Revis going to be matchup on? If he's matched up on you, you might as well not even show up. Quite honestly, he'll knock you on your butt."

"There's not a better zone (corner). There's not a better man (corner). You name the defense, he's the best at it."

"One day, we're going to say this is the best Jet in the history of New York Jets franchise. I also believe we're going to see him in Canton on day."

"He's a gentleman off the field. But he is a mean rascal on the field."

"My prediction came true about that. Now there's some predictions that haven't come true… yet. But when it came to Darrelle, I said he would be the best corner in football…clearly, without exception, he is the best corner."

"Without question, he tilts the field. When he's on the field, he's the best player on the field."

The top 10 as voted by players:

1) Tom Brady
2) Peyton Manning
3) Adrian Peterson
4) Ray Lewis
5) Ed Reed
6) Troy Polamalu
