Gotham Gossipist: New Lady Gaga Tell-All To Talk Drug Use And Eating Disorder

By Kimberly Rae Miller

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A celebrity journalist who is famous for predicting the death of Michael Jackson and profiling the likes of Brad Pitt and Arnold Schwarzenegger has now set his sights on exposing the secrets of New York-born fame monster Lady Gaga.

In an interview with Star Magazine, Ian Halperin divulged the inside scoop on his upcoming tell-all book on Gaga. If what he says is true, our girl needs to eat a sandwich and go to rehab.

Halperin claims that Lady Gaga is "sick" and "obsessed."

While Gaga has admitted to having lupus,  Halperin's new book states her illness is far more serious than she lets on.

"Part of the reason she wears wigs and makeup is because her hair is falling out and she's covered in red blotches, both side effects of the disease," he said.

That might explain her bald performance of her single "Hair" on a British talk show last month.

Gaga's extreme dieting isn't news, but Halperin's book claims that Gaga is literally starving herself for fame.

"Those who have worked with her on tour reported to me that Gaga barely ate for weeks at a time to fit into her costume."

Apparently Gaga is so obsessed with her body that she "will stare at herself in the mirror for hours on end, analyzing and critiquing her body. It's an unhealthy obsession."

One way our little Stefani - as she was known, pre-Gaga days - controls her weight is drugs.  Gaga has said before that she's drug free, but according to Halperin that's not so, and hasn't been for a long time.

"Her drug use started young. From heroin to cocaine and ecstasy, her friends say that she has done every drug conceivable. You name it she has done it."

First a scandal scamming her monsters, now an eating disorder and drug addiction, is Gaga falling apart before our very eyes?
