Car Strikes Tree In Centereach, Killing 2

CENTEREACH, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) — Police on Long Island say two men were killed in an auto accident in Centereach.

Police say a 43-year-old Angelo Grimaldi apparently lost control of his car and struck a tree on Bowdoin Road just before 8pm Saturday.
   
Grimaldi and passenger 45-year-old Kevin Demaille were taken to Stony Brook University Medical Center where they later died.

There were no other injuries.

    DRiver restored that car. It was determined that the accelerator was stuck and they could not slow the car down.
