The first half is in the books and the Yankees are tied in the loss column with the Red Sox and trail by one game in the AL East. Everything has gone according to plan for the Yankees, and now they are ready for the second half to begin on Thursday in Toronto.

Over the last few weeks Derek Jeter has made a home in the headlines for his 3,000th hit, his DL stint and his All-Star “snub.” Now the attention turns to how Jeter will perform in the second half, when A-Rod will return to the lineup and what the Yankees will do, if anything, about their rotation.

Sweeny Murti joined me to look back at the first half for the Yankees and the All-Star festivities, and ahead to the second half of the season.
