Supporters Of Hotel Housekeeper In DSK Sex Assault Case Rally In Manhattan

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Supporters of the hotel housekeeper in the Dominique Strauss-Kahn sex assault case are holding another rally Sunday in Manhattan.

They’re worried the Manhattan district attorney will drop the case. Prosecutors are continuing their investigation.

Last week, Strauss-Kahn’s next court date, originally scheduled for Monday, was postponed until August 1.

He was released from house arrest on July 1 amid questions about his accuser’s credibility.

Maybe because SOME people actually CARE.

  2. Bob Fowler says:

    1) Why did they need to rally again? Will rallying make evidence appear or disappear and faster?
    2) Does rallying make the alleged victim any more or less believable? Does rallying with important people make you more credible? If so, I think DSK has more ‘influential’ people with whom to rally.
    3) Why is this considered newsworthy? It seems that the only reason that this story has legs is because it keeps DSK in the news, in a negative light, to assure that his political future is over. How many other rape victims or suspects get this much play?

I know that innocent until proven guilty is only a concept in today’s instant information era, but, when the supposedly ‘honorable’ facet of the media acts like this, at the very least, an eyebrow should be raised.
