1 Killed In Bronx Overnight Fire

BRONX, NY (CBSNewYork) – One person is dead after an overnight fire in the Bronx.

Heavy flames broke out before 2am Sunday inside a house on Morris Avenue in the Mount Hope section. Officials say the fire started on the second floor.

Police tell CBS 2 a man inside the house has died. Five firefighters suffered minor injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
