Mets catcher Josh Thole and his wife Kathryn welcomed a baby boy into the world  Tuesday — and the proud papa was behind the plate last night catching R.A. Dickey’s knuckleball. He went 2 for 4 at the plate with 2 RBI.  Boomer & Craig were very impressed and praised the 24 year-old catcher’s work ethic.

Then the guys wondered what kind of ovation Carlos Beltran might receive today at Citi Field, with the notion that he will likely be traded before the July 31st trade deadline, making this afternoon’s game with the Cardinals possibly his last at home as a member of the Mets.

Speaking of the Mets, reportedly David Einhorn’s purchase of a minority stake in the club is not so cut and dry. There is now some uncertainty surrounding the deal.  One thing that is certain is that Einhorn is a man…
