Five Charged With Stealing $8K From White Plains Five Guys Burgers And Fries

WHITE PLAINS, NY (WCBS 880) — Four guys and a gal have been arraigned on felony theft and weapons charges for allegedly holding up Five Guys Burgers and Fries in White Plains.

Authorities say one of suspects worked as a cook at the popular burger joint. The five are accused of making off with almost $8,000. They all pleaded not guilty and are due back in court on August 4.

If convicted, they face up to 25 years in state prison.

    If they “held up” the place with weapons then it is no longer stealing but “robbery” There is a difference. There was a time when “journalists” knew that.

    If they had just taken money when no one was looking it is stealing. When they use force or a weapon it becomes robbery.

    Maybe they didn’t actually “hold up” the place but CBS should no better when writing the story,

    good for them they ought to be ashamed of themselves for sticking up those restaurants and don,,t you know that when some 1 steals from those places the prices go up on things just so they could make adecent way of living and all.amnd its a good thing no 1 got hurt or anything cause hold ups usually turn out disaterous and all.
