Since the condensed free-agency period began last week, Craig has been all over the Giants for their lack of activity. This morning he and Boomer were joined by the man responsible for ‘architecting’ the product the Giants put on the field, GM Jerry Reese.
Right at the start Boomer asked Reese if he really wanted to do this, referring to Reese’s decision to subject himself to what is sure to be an uncomfortable chat with Craigie. Reese assured Boomer he could handle himself just fine and then the fun began, as Craig asked him if he was aware that free-agency had begun.
All-in-all things went pretty well as Reese talked about the state of his team. Boomer & Craig got his take on Plaxico Burress opting to sign a 1 year-deal with the Jets and the abundance of moves the Eagles have made thus-far, including landing Nnamdi Asomugha.
Reese said he is happy with the receiving core they currently have in place, talked about getting a healthy Mathias Kiwanuka back not the fold, the progress they are making with first round draft pick Prince Amukamra’s contract, how talks are going with Osi Umenyiora – who is looking to get a new deal – and what the plan is for Ahmad Bradshaw – who has been shopping himself around the league with little success thus far.
