Police Release Sketch In Hopes Of Identifying Brooklyn Homicide Victim

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork)-- Police in New York City are asking for the public's help to identify a homicide victim found on July 17.

The female victim was found in the water near Bay 20 Street and Shore Parkway in Brooklyn. Authorities have released a sketch and a photo of the "Only You" blue jeans she was wearing in hopes that someone would be able to identify her.

Police said the woman was also wearing a black sleeveless summer blouse and a black belt with a silver-colored oval belt buckle when she was found.

Police responded to a 911 call and found the unidentified woman on the rocks unconscious and unresponsive. EMS responded to the scene and pronounced her dead on arrival.

The investigation is ongoing.
