John Smoltz called in this morning to talk a little baseball with Craigie — and talk baseball they did, among other topics.
Craig asked the former Cy Young Award winner about the Alex Rodriguez-high-stakes poker story making news today, and whether or not MLB has a right to suspend A-Rod for his alleged off the field activities.
Craig also asked Smoltz about the question marks throughout the Yankees rotation behind CC Sabathia, this on the heels of A.J. Burnett’s stinker in Chicago last night. The MLB Network analyst pointed out the fact that the Yankees didn’t make any moves at the trade deadline, so that would indicate they like what they have.
Smoltz is an avid golfer, so before bidding him a farewell, Craig asked him his thoughts on Tiger Woods’ long anticipated return to the PGA Tour today at the Bridgestone Invitational…
