NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Four men and one woman have been stabbed outside a Brooklyn nightclub in an early morning brawl.

Police said a dispute broke out inside the Crown KTV Club and spilled out into the street around 3:30 a.m. on 64th Street near Eighth Avenue in Bay Ridge.

The five victims were taken to area hospital. A 48-year-old man is listed in critical condition.

Police said 41-year-old Chun Linn has been charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon and possession of a controlled substance.

A knife was recovered at the scene.

The club faced opposition from the community when it opened several years ago because it is directly across the street from P.S. 69.

Community Board 10 tried to stop the opening of this club because it was within 500 feet of a school. The State Liquor Authority granted them a license, because the Zheng brothers claimed it was a restaurant. I guess somebody got bribed.

It was 5 to 1. Obviously self defense.

64th and 8th is not Bay Ridge. It is Sunset Park.

    1. Jut says:

This is true. I-278 wraps Bay Ridge. That spot is outside of that loop.

      1. KPMc says:

That’s not an official boundary though it does mostly work out that way.

    2. KPMc says:

Except the Post Office on 55th street is the Bay Ridge Post Office. One time that was considered Bay Ridge, maybe you are one of the newer people to Southwest Brooklyn and don’t remember. I would put the northern boundary at about 60th street with 8th ave. being about the western boundary. So… it’s close enough.
