NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Nick Cannon is a busy man. Months after he and wife Mariah Carey became proud parents to twins Moroccan and Monroe, Cannon is attempting to share more love…and hugs with the world.

On Friday, August 19, Cannon will attempt to make history at Citi Field in Flushing, Queens where he’ll be hugging people until he makes it into the record books.

Just before the Amazin’s take on the Brewers at their home game, Cannon vows to hug 2000 people (or more) in one hour!

All participating (huggees?) will receive a commemorative Nick Cannon New York Mets T-shirt and the first 100 huggers will get tickets to the game that night.  Paper Jamz from WowWee will donate one toy for every hug to benefit the children at the Mets Care Room at the New York Hospital of Queens

Just meet up with Nick and the 92.3 NOW Entourage at the Mets Home Run Apple – in front of Citi Field – at 3:30 p.m.

Currently, the most hugs given in one hour is 1,749 and was achieved by Nick Vujicic at the Deschutes County Expo Center, in Oregon, on Sept. 25, 2010.

Think Cannon will break the hugging record? Let us know
