NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – They say there’s no such thing as a free lunch. But Monday — for 120,000 New Yorkers— there will be free dinners.

Italian food company Barilla will be boarding a food truck and handing out 20,000 “Meal for Meal” dinner kits in four highly-populated New York City locations, starting Monday Aug. 15. The kits will consist of a box of pasta, salad greens and olive oil and vinegar.

For each dinner distributed, the food company will donate $1 to Food Bank For NYC. Once all the dinner kits are dispersed, there will have been 100,000 meals donated to the Food Bank – or 5 meals for each dollar donated.
