From Boomer & Carton
There were two topic that dominated the open of Thursday’s Morning Extravaganza: Rex Ryan saying the Jets offense is “scary good” and the Yankees getting screwed (according to Craig) last night in Kansas City.
With Plaxico Burress making it onto the practice field yesterday wearing the green & white, Ryan was feeling pretty good with in turn has Craig feeling pretty good about his beloved Jets.
As for the Yankees – which will become Craig’s beloved Yankees following Labor Day – they played a game against the Royals last night and were done in in the 3rd inning by a bad call from the umpiring crew on a ball off the bat of Billy Butler that was ruled a home run — and reviewed only to be upheld, but not without controversy.
The Bombers did have their chances, just ask Jorge Posada, who struck out looking with the bases loaded to end the game. Boomer & Craig broke down the 5-4 Bombers loss and even went to the ground rules of Kaufman Field to try and make sense of, what appeared to be, a botched home run call.
The guys also took a few minutes to check in on Al Dukes and his fluctuating finances before Craig took issue with Boomer for repeatedly giving away the gifts he has presented to him over the years. This after learning the Blonde Bomber has plans to give Gunnar the rocking chair that Craig gave to him for his 50th birthday…
