Actor Ryan Gosling Breaks Up Street Fight In The East Village

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — He stole hearts on screen in his lead role in “The Notebook,” and now he’s apparently taken to bringing peace to the streets of New York City.

Academy Award nominated actor Ryan Gosling broke up an altercation on 8th Street in the East Village. The YouTube video was uploaded on August 20, but it’s unclear if the fight took place the same day.

As two men were fighting in the middle of the intersection, Gosling calmly and suddenly appears and was able to separate the men, even after other bystanders were unable to do so.

Women could be heard in the background of the video yelling “are you serious” after recognizing the actor.

The video was featured on buzzfeed.com and has generated over 5,000 views on YouTube since its upload.

The video is real, but this looks like a publicity stunt, because he was quickly recognized.

A well known actor is quickly recognized on the street, so it must be a publicity stunt. Your logic astounds me.
