Police Looking For Suspect In Attempted Brooklyn Sex Assault

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police in Brooklyn have released the sketch of a suspect they said attempted to sexually assault a woman last week.

Authorities said the suspect entered the woman's East Flatbush apartment through a fire escape and open window at around 2 a.m. on Aug. 18. Police said he went into the victim's bedroom and placed his hands on her buttocks, which caused her to wake up.

Police said the victim began screaming and the suspect subsequently fled through a kitchen window and down the fire escape.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man between 5-foot-5 and 5-7 and 160 to 170 pounds with dark colored hair and medium complexion.
