During Jerry ‘Rello’ Recco’s first update we heard all sorts of tidbits from Monday night’s Jets 17-3 win over the Giants in the first ever MetLife Bowl.
It began with a radio call courtesy of Chris Carrino, who Boomer & Craig thought sounded an awful lot like Marc “Moose” Malusis, who is also a host here at the FAN.
Giants quarterback Eli Manning spoke with the assembled media after his two-interception performance and he got a little tongue tied. Tom Coughlin was very excited about the first ever MetLife Bowl as we learned his grandchildren are big fans of Snoopy.
From there, Craig had a little fun at both Snoopy’s and Coughlin’s expense.
We also heard about Jets former first round pick Vernon Gholston, who was waived by the Chicago Bears, prompting Boomer to declare that Gholston may be one of the worst NFL draft picks of all time.
With football out of the way, Jerry recapped the Yankees’ 3-2 win over the Orioles in Baltimore and Derek Jeter’s relationship with Minka Kelly – (helloooo!!!)…
