They've been a hot commodity for days, but it finally might be easier to find batteries for your flashlights and electronics.

Ed Pena at Radioshack in New City says it has been crazy.

"I didn't have a chance to sit down at all, the whole day. Hectic," he said. "People coming in, phones ringing off the hook."

He says his store finally restocked on Wednesday.

Drug World down the street received a delivery Tuesday.

"Batteries, we probably sold 300, 400 packs of batteries in a matter of three, four hours," said store manager Robert Swidfeld.

He said normally that many batteries would last about two months.

Some of the smaller convenience stores in Rockland however, are still out of batteries.
