Police In Queens Hunt Suspect Allegedly Behind 11 Cell Phone Robberies

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Can you hear them now?

Detectives from the Queens Robbery Squad want your help catching the suspect in a string of cell phone robberies.

This bandit has been busy: He's allegedly struck 11 times since June.

The most recent incident took place Wednesday.

His M.O. is pretty straightforward. Police say the suspect approaches teen boys and asks to see their phones. If they refuse, he pulls out a gun and takes it.

So far, none of his victims have been shot or otherwise injured.

Police say the perpetrator is 6'4" and weighs about 185 pounds. He has a thin build and tattoos on his neck and right arm. The suspect wears a distinctive pair of shoes: Copper-colored Nike Posites sneakers.
