Rangers, Islanders And Devils Stars Gather For Fundraiser For Jake Wisniewski
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Rangers, Islanders and Devils stars of the past and present will be in attendance for a fundraiser tonight for an MSG Network graphics coordinator who's battling cystic fibrosis.
Jake Wisniewski, who underwent a successful double lung transplant this summer, had approximately $100,000 in medical expenses that were not covered by insurance.
"A Night for Jake" will be held between 7 and 10 p.m. at the Local West Beer Garden on Eighth Avenue and 33rd Street in Manhattan. For a $50 donation, attendees will get an open bar, appetizers and the chance to mingle with Hall of Famer Brian Leetch, Devils all-star Zach Parise, Islanders four-time Stanley Cup winner Butch Goring and a number of other players. Broadcasters in attendance will include Devils radio play-by-play man Matt Loughlin and Rangers TV analyst Joe Michelletti.
Funds raised will directly benefit Wisniewski.
