Police Arrest Oneil Dasilva, Suspect In Bronx House Party Shooting That Left 8 Injured
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A second suspect is under arrest in connection with a Bronx house party shooting that left eight people hospitalized.
Police had been searching for Oneil Dasilva since Sunday's incident in Williamsbridge.
Investigators say the 17-year-old opened fire at a party on East 221st Street, hitting eight people. Three of the victims were under 15-years-old.
Dasilva faces eight counts of attempted murder.
Another suspect, 21-year-old Phillip Muir, was arrested Monday.
Sixty-seven people were shot in New York City over the Labor Day weekend.
Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said there are "still too many guns on the street" and said some of the shootings over the weekend were related to festivities stemming from the West Indian Day Parade.
In an exclusive interview with CBS 2 on Tuesday, Kelly said he wants more "boots on the ground."
