Bronx Woman Arrested For Improper Burial After Man's Body Found In Suitcase On Needham Avenue
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the death of a Bronx man whose body was found inside of a suitcase.
Police say just before 3:30 p.m. Sunday, they were called to Needham Avenue in the Bronx on a report of a suspicious suitcase.
When officers arrived, they found the body of a man, later identified as 74-year-old Johnny Davis, inside the suitcase.
Police arrested 36-year-old Monique Exum on Tuesday on improper burial charges.
According to police, the two lived in the same apartment in the Bronx but it's not clear what their relationship was.
A medical examiner will determine Davis' cause of death.
The investigation is still ongoing.
