B&C Morning Show: David Cone Talks Cocktail Wieners, Yankees Baseball

David Cone joined Boomer & Craig this morning on the heels of the guys' conversation about a Patriots bar in D.C. called "The Capitol Lounge."

They have an item on their menu labeled "Gisele's Sweet-A** Potato Fries," which turned out to be unfortunate for the only other man outside of Don Larsen and David Wells to throw a perfect game in pinstripes.

Cone has been on the show before so he has a pretty good understanding of how things work -- so he didn't seem mind Craig's awkward introduction.

With that out of the way, the guys asked Cone about Mariano Rivera's greatness. Cone was a teammate of Mo's from 1995-2000 and he had nothing but praise for the closer, pointing out if he weren't a Yankee, things would be different in the Bombers' history books.

They also got into the Yankees' 6-man rotation, who Cone thinks will pitch behind CC come playoff time, and what to do with A.J. Burnett.

Cone tried on the Maryland football helmet (pictured below) and tried his best to defend his golf game.  As the spot concluded, Cone sided with Craigie regarding Boomer being a stickler for the rules when it comes to playing golf, putting the Blonde Bomber in the same class as Barney Fife, which is never good...
