Sexual Fetish At Issue As Barbara Sheehan Testifies In Her Murder Trial
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - The trial of a Queens woman who has admitted killing her husband, claiming it was self defense, took a bizarre turn in court Tuesday.
In her cross-examination, prosecutor Debra Pomodore suggested that Barbara Sheehan had killed her ex-cop husband not out of fear, but because he tried to force her to engage in a sexual fetish.
That fetish was one that involved her husband, Raymond, wearing a diaper and calling her ‘mommy,’ WCBS 880′s Irene Cornell reported.

The prosecutor claimed that when the couple made a trip to Albany, Raymond Sheehan sent out an e-mail saying that they were looking for someone to participate in this sexual fantasy.
Barbara Sheehan, however, denied that she ever went on the Internet to see what infantilism was all about.
There was an indirect admission that she participated when she said, “He’d make me do it in my own house. I didn’t want to get beaten.”
Sheehan has admitted killing her husband in their Howard Beach home in 2008 and said she carried a gun out of fear. She claims she was the victim of years of abuse at the hands of her husband.
In court Monday, wringing her hands and at times crying, Sheehan nervously testified that her husband would call her “stupid, fat and a terrible mother” and would choke her, knock her down, step on her and spit in her face.
On the night of the killing, prosecutors said Sheehan shot her husband 11 times in a hail of bullets. The District Attorney’s office has called it an execution killing, not an act of self-defense. The DA said there is no way to justify firing 11 shots, that Sheehan could have left anytime, but did not.
Family and friends have expressed support of Sheehan, who they said was only trying to protect herself.
