Living Large In A Muttontown French Chateau
MUTTONTOWN, N.Y. (CBS 2) -- In the latest edition of Living Large, CBS 2 reporter Emily Smith takes us inside a French Chateau with 7 bedrooms an elevator, a theater, a dance floor and it's own state-of-the-art gym.
The Muttontown home looks as if it was plucked from from France. A breathtaking theme of fruit and flower masonry can be found throughout the home.
The intricately detailed arch ways inside give off a royal wedding cake appeal. The gallery hall has 7 stunning crystal chandeliers -- creating a scene reminiscent of Versailles' Hall of Mirrors.
To keep the chandeliers spotless, an elevator system lowers them with the turn of a key.
Each room flows into the next. The dining room seats 12 and the solid bronze light fixture weighs 400 pounds. Pocket doors open into a dainty, formal living room.
The property is also zoned for two horses. It was priced at $18 million five years ago, but now, is down to $12.5 million.
