B&C Morning Show: Rich Gannon Prefers Sanchez Over Eli, Loves Working With Marv Albert

For the first time this NFL season, Boomer & Craig welcomed 2002 NFL MVP Rich Gannon to a busy football program.

These days Gannon can be heard analyzing football games on CBS alongside Marv Albert. This weekend the broadcast team will be calling the Patriots-Bills game up in Buffalo.

Prior to talking football, Craig asked Gannon to discuss working with a legend like Marv on a regular basis, all the while doing his best Marv impression - YES!!!

From there they talked some football, mostly Giants and Jets.  Gannon offered his take on what the Jets are up against this Sunday afternoon in Oakland, when they tangle with the Raiders.  Gannon, of course, played for the Raiders from 1999-2004, leading the silver & black to the Super Bowl  in 2003.

But like Boomer, he too lost.

Before letting him go, Craig asked Gannon if he had to win one game, which QB would he prefer to have leading his team: Mark Sanchez or Eli Manning?  Gannon attempted to side-step the question by selecting Boomer, who wasn't a choice but an obvious selection.

But when pressed by Craig, Gannon went with Sanchez, although he did make it a point to add in that it's time to stop with all of the guarded optimism surrounding the Jets third year QB...
