LARCHMONT, NY (WCBS 880) – Larchmont is upscale and relatively safe, but it is not immune to a parent’s worst fear.

WCBS 880’s Sean Adams On The Story

Last Thurday, a 10-year-old boy told police that, as he was walking home from school around 3:15 p.m., a man tried to lure him to a vehicle.

The boy refused and walked home.

Area parents have been put on alert and are talking with their children about stranger danger.

The description of the suspect is vague and general – a white male.

Police want anyone who may have been in the vicinity of Boston Post Road and Bonnett Avenue and might have seen something to call the Larchmont Police Department at 914-834-1000.
