McNeil, Toon, Grantham, Philbin To Join Jets' Ring Of Honor

NEW YORK (WFAN/AP) — Four Gang Green greats just got promoted to the head of the class.

The Jets have announced that former running back Freeman McNeil, wide receiver Al Toon, linebacker Larry Grantham and defensive end Gerry Philbin have been selected to the team's ring of honor.

The four players will be honored at halftime of the Jets' game against the Miami Dolphins on Oct. 17 at MetLife Stadium. They will join Joe Namath, Weeb Ewbank, Winston Hill, Curtis Martin, Joe Klecko and Don Maynard, who were in the Jets' first group inducted last season.

McNeil is a three-time Pro Bowl selection who ranks second on the Jets' career rushing list, while Toon was one of the NFL's top receivers before concussions cut short his career.

Grantham and Philbin helped the Jets win the franchise's only Super Bowl in 1969.

Who should be next for the honor? Let us know in the comments below...
