NEW YORK (WFAN) — Take two.

The Jets have re-signed Aaron Maybin after waiving him earlier this month.

Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News was first to report the signing.

The defensive End, who registered no sacks in two years with the Bills, showed flashes of his college-days dominance this preseason. He had 1.5 sacks in the Jets’ preseason finale.

New York reached out to the former Buffalo first-round bust and told him he’d be back if a roster spot opened up, reported Mehta. When offensive lineman Rob Turner was placed on season-ending injured reserve, Maybin got the call.

Now the Jets will wait and see if Maybin nails his second chance — or if the player known as “Maybe” in Buffalo returns.
