National Coffee Day: NYC Marks Occasion With Deals For Free & Cheap Coffee

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – It goes without saying that New Yorkers love their coffee, and on Sept. 29, National Coffee Day, you can get your caffeine fix at a discount – or for free. Just not at Starbucks.

The coffee chain with locations on seemingly every other street corner in the city isn’t participating in the event. City residents are best advised to head to Dunkin Donuts, where you can grab a 50-cent medium hot and iced coffee all day long.

If you find yourself at Penn Station at any point throughout the day, you have the option of swinging by the city’s lone Krispy Kreme, where you’ll score a 12oz cup of their House Blend Coffee on the house.
